The growth of Medicare’s costs has slowed dramatically since 'Obamacare' was first passed, even as Baby Boomers began retiring. In addition to reforming the insurance marketplace, Obamacare added reforms that punish Medicare providers for hospital readmissions. These reforms have led to a lower growth in costs that has continued into 2014.
