Roughly 80% of Americans -- primarily those who will be keeping their current employer health plan-- will be unaffected by Obamacare. The clear "winners" are those who are currently uninsured who have finally gained access to an affordable policy. The "potential losers" are those who will have to buy a higher-quality health plan with no annual cap.
14% of 320,000,000 is 44,800,000 americans who will benefit from the ACA...I think they have a ways to go since only 7,000,000 signed up and only 20% of those were previously uninsured, and no one can tell us how many of those supposed 7,000,000 have written a check for their first premium. In our office, it is a challenge to find out if we are going to be paid for care given. I hope they work out the bugs. I'm not convinced that it went from 4.6 million to 7 million in 26 days...regardless, we'll ride it out..
