Small-business owners in the United States are more optimistic about their business operations now than at any time since 2008, with nearly three-quarters planning to increase or maintain capital spending in the next year. The continuation of this improving business outlook will rely on numerous factors--namely continually increasing consumer spending and the state of employment in the coming months.
