Parents may soon be wishing that they were empty nesters. 36% of young Americans (ages 18 to 31) were living with the parents in 2012, compared to only 32% in 2007. Even more significant is the drop in the percentage of young married couples living together under their own roofs, falling from 52% in 1968 to just 23% in 2012.
