It is standard practice among opponents of Obamacare to claim firms will stop hiring to avoid crossing the 50 worker threshold that will require them to provide health insurance. Since most firms in this category already provide coverage voluntarily, it is unlikely that requiring the remaining firms to provide coverage or pay a penalty would create such an onerous burden.
