Sangduen Chailert (Lek) has spent her life caring for endangered elephants. As co-founder and director of northern Thailand’s Elephant Nature Park, she devotes her time, energy, and meager finances to caring for dozens of elephants and campaigning for better treatment of these rare animals. She's crossed paths with the government, which periodically raids her Park, threatening Lek and her employees.
