There were 28,051 people who received organ transplants in the U.S. in 2012. 43.3% of organ donor recipients were 50-64 years old, while only 6.3% of recipients were 1-17 years old.
I wonder how many years most +65 year old transplant recipients live afterwards, and how many 1-17 year olds never get one...
