The average number of paid vacation days for full-time private industry workers increased among all tenure lengths from 1992-93 to 2012. However, paid sick leave decreased among all tenure lengths. In 2012, an average employee working at the same company for 20 years earned 10 paid sick days, the same number of days given to a one-year employee in 1992-93.
