After years of unsuccessful wars in the Middle East, Americans were of the opinion in 2013 that the US would be best served staying out of other countries' affairs to avoid terrorist attacks in the future. Islamist inspired shootings in France and the US, however, have lead Americans' opinions on this issue to take a turn for the interventionist.
