When it comes to interracial murders, black Americans are paying the price. According to the United States General Accounting Office, the race of the victim has been found to heavily influence the sentencing processes of murder cases. The numbers certainly back up that assertion. Since 1976, nearly ten times the number of black defendants have been executed for murdering a white victim than white defendants have been executed for murdering a black victim.
