The FieldHouse Media 2015 survey consisted of a 65/35 Male/Female ratio with 80% of student-athletes in Division 1. 43% of athletes say they spend more than one hour on social media each day. What stands out to me is the majority of Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram users follow/like a brand, however only 7% of Snapchat users follow a brand. 45% of the student-athletes said they had not received social media training, while 50% said they had received at least one hour.
What does it mean to follow/like a brand? Does it mean Snapchat users in general that follow/like a brand across all social media platforms or percent of Snapchat users that follow a brand on Snapchat?
To follow/like a brand means to follow their official Twitter account or like their company page on Facebook. And the latter, percent of Snapchat users that follow a brand on Snapchat.
