While smoking is certainly an international habit, it is nevertheless much more prominent in some places than others. Serbia tops the list as the heaviest-smoking nation in the world, with an average per capita cigarette consumption of over 140 packs a year. To put that into perspective, the per capita consumption of Serbia is nearly triple that of the United States.
