A comfortable majority of Americans believe that the developed nations of the world have a greater responsibility to tackle the modern challenges of greenhouse gas emissions and pollution than do the less developed nations of the world. Developed countries were able to reach very high levels of industrial capacity without the hurdle of environmental concerns; it seems only right that the countries with the power to make a change take point on these issues.
