Enhanced interrogation methods can be brutal, to say the least. Still, many members of the CIA maintain that the methods are effective. Even in light of the release of the recent Senate CIA report on torture, the majority of Americans believe that the interrogation tactics used by the Central Intelligence Agency were justified.
