The percentage of daily calories consumed from fast food among adults (age 20+) has decreased. From 2003-2006, fast food accounted for 12.8% of the daily calories consumed by adults, a percentage that dropped to 11.3% in the period 2007-2010. The largest decrease was among adults ages 40-59, as the percentage of calories from fast food dropped from 12.7% to 10.5%.
