The FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization) recently released a booklet featuring new statistics on food supply and health for 2014. According to FAO, 805 million people are still undernourished in the world. Although progress has been made within the last 20 years, the number of people without access to an adequate diet suitable for a healthy and active lifestyle is still astonishing.

Unbelievably, nearly all of the patients I see in my private medical practice - consisting mainly of upper middle to upper class folks - are malnourished in more than one nutrient, mineral or vitamin! This is a fact and it this poor nutrition is actually in the USA.

Hi MJ! It's great to see that worldwide, the percentage has dropped from 18% to 11%. Hope this trend continues!
