After a significant dip in the late 1990s, the number of uniformed UN Peacekeepers worldwide has rebounded to new heights, hovering at around 100,000 for the last few years. The jump perhaps represents the danger of recent missions, as the last decade was the most deadly for uniformed peacekeepers on record.
