Today more and more physicians are finding hospital jobs rather than going the independent route. This shift is in direct relation to the uncertainties surrounding the health care market. The American Medical Association found that 60% of family doctors, 50% of surgeons, and 25% of surgical sub-specialists are no longer working independently.
