Since this survey was first conducted by Gallup in 1969, American's support for legalizing marijuana has climbed a steep 46 percent, starting from 12 and climbing to 58 in the site's most recent survey. While 18 to 29 year olds are the most likely to support legalization, 45 percent of senior citizens also support it.
