Between January 1 and September 30 2013, 30,100 migrants from North Africa reached Italy. Of these migrants, nearly 60 percent were from the war-torn countries of Syria, Somalia, and Eritrea. Looking at what's happening with immigration in other parts of the world reminds Americans that immigration reform can't be forgotten.
