In 2012, there were 25 million foreign-born workers age 16 years and older in the U.S. labor force. 130 million workers were native born. 38% (9.5 million) of the foreign born were from Mexico and Central America, and 28% (7 million) were from Asia (including the Middle East). Foreign–born workers from Europe and the Caribbean were about 10% each.
