The Democrat-controlled Senate passed a continuing resolution (CR) to keep the government open that would set the relevant funding levels at an annualized total of $986 billion. That’s about $70 billion less than what the Senate endorsed as part of its plan in April, and about $216 billion less than the FY 2014 budget proposed by President Obama in 2009.
