For most Americans, Hollywood represents a seemingly endless source of entertainment. According to a recent survey from YouGov, for 50% of America, the entire movie industry is a sexist institution as well. With commonly used tropes such as the damsel in distress and the woman in the refrigerator, it is easy to understand why so many people see Hollywood as an old boy's club.
