Americans are split down the middle on the issue of unionization. A very slight plurality says that a decline in unionization has been bad for the country. There is a stronger majority, however, who say that this trend has been at the detriment of working people. The question that then must be asked is this: how is something that is not good for our country's working people somehow mostly good for the country?
