According to the Morgan Stanley Institute for Sustainable Investing, 71% of individual investors are interested in sustainable investing. With that said, it should come as no surprise that investments in sustainability nearly doubled from 2012 to 2014. Although evidence suggests that investors are still split on the idea that supporting sustainability represents a trade-off for positive rates of return, the study also finds that 65% of individual investors believe sustainable investing will only become more prevalent. So, if money talks, sustainability is certainly where I want my money.
