The number of people of the opinion that President Obama should take the lead in solving our nation's problems just barely edges out the number saying that this responsibility is better entrusted with Republican congressional leaders. In light of the level of partisanship in US politics, America's trend towards a strong executive post-WWII now seems much more dependent on which party claims the White House over any firm ideological commitment to a strong president.
