What do you think the stats say about our culture? Do we think too little of women, to serve in the military? Or do we value women too much, for them to serve in the military?
From what I have read a large percentage of women are treated terribly in the military. It would make sense that as a result women would not want to join. If we as a society want to give women equal access to service in the military then it is probably important to make sure that women do not feel threatened by their commanding officers. However, I am sure there are a variety of issues at play here.
In all branches of the military, women still make up less than twenty percent of the forces.
