A New York Times study, linked below the chart, shows how divorce rates have actually been in decline since marriages made in the 1980s. People wed in the 2000s actually have the lowest rates of divorce per year of marriage since the 1960s. Despite this, an overwhelming number of Americans believe divorce rates are much higher than they were 30 years.
