This age group is particularly susceptible to severe online harassment. Yet, young women tend to be more active on certain social media platforms. What does this correlation tell us? Pew's survey results showed that most online environments were viewed as equally welcoming to both genders, not so for online gaming. A whopping 44% of all respondents felt the platform was more welcoming toward men.
