While in the middle of Republican president, George Bush's, first term, 53% of Republicans agreed that the government should be able to monitor emails if it might prevent future terror attacks. Conversely, 51% of Democrats disagreed with this assertion. Fast-forward to the Democratic President Obama, and these opinions have completely switched. Democrats approving increased 12%; Republicans disapproving increased 13%.
