The internet is incredibly vast, and it seems as though the responsibility to moderate the internet has fallen to Google. The internet tech company has processed an increasingly large number of take-down requests in order to remove copyrighted material from Google's search results. Sometimes, websites will copy the material from other sites to increase their own traffic. This is apparently happening more than ever, as the number of copyright removal requests nearly tripled from 2015 to 2016.
