Drug prices are a major component of increasing healthcare costs, though they don't necessarily have to be. Buying generics over brand-name drugs will save you money without sacrificing quality (they're fundamentally the same). Specifically requesting the lowest price (versus accepting the "discount"), getting 90-day refills, and shopping Costco, instead of CVS, will all save you hundreds a year.
