In America, if you work hard, are determined, and pull yourself up by your own bootstraps, then you will be successful, right? According to a recent Pew Poll, a shrinking number of Americans believe that to be the case. Today, only six out of ten Americans believe that hard work will bring you success, down from about three fourths of the public in 1999.
