During the AFC Championship game between the New England Patriots and the Indianapolis Colts, it was found that balls used by the Patriots were underinflated and thereby potentially gave New England an advantage in their blowout win. Though only 31% of NFL fans defend the Patriots outright compared to half that say the Patriots are cheaters, a swing vote of apathetic fans is an important offsetting factor.
