Apple's peak in 2012 was undoubtedly one of the most impressive years for technological companies. It was the year the iPhone 5 and iOS 6 were released. Some considered Apple's innovation to be what the customers wanted. Since then there was a slight drop but 2014's release of the iPhone 6 brought back a revival to Apple's profits.
