The Scarlet Plaque is a novel written by Jack Snow in 1912 in which an outbreak of a disease takes over the world in just days in the year 2013. Just a year little, Snow's fictional novel is coming to life with the Ebola Virus outbreak of 2014. The chart shows the confirmed cases before and during September 2014, and then projects the future of the outbreak through April 2015. The numbers are all assuming the projected eradication from the CDC of 6-9 months. Could Snow really have projected things correctly?
