When Wet n Wild released their Vanity 249 palette in 2010, they scored big time with their consumers. Let's cut to the chase, women love their neutrals. And this palette gave six shades of neutralness that women of all ages raved about. The Vanity 249 is no longer in stores, but the reviews that I came across on Makeupalley.com blew me away! I'm always looking for the perfect neutral palette and I love reading reviews from trusted sites as they give me a range of perspectives to consider before I purchase. Makeupalley is known for hosting a forum of honest reviews, so the reviews on the Vanity 249 really shed a bright light on Wet n Wild's improvement as a company.
Thumbs Up for the Palette, Thumbs Sideways for the Packaging
|Overall Rating||Package Quality Rating|
|18 & under||4.7||3.6|
The average rating for the Vanity 249 for reviews posted from 2010-2014 scored at a striking 4.7 out of 5 lipsticks (stars). With the packaging quality rating averaging at 3.5, there were improvements to be made on that end. However, Wet n Wild was elated to know that the changes in their makeup's quality wasn't going unnoticed. This palette featured jet-milled eyeshadows. Which basically means the shadows were very finely ground and then packed together in a pressed eyeshadow. Jet-milling gave the shadows that creamy, silk-to-the touch feel and flawless finish on the lid. "Our makeup formula is jet-milled and that was one of the conscious changes we made when we recreated our new formulas."- Brian Talbot, VP of Marketing, Wet n Wild
