In 2013, the New York State comptroller reported last week, Wall Street banks handed out over $26 billion in bonuses to some 165,200 financial industry executives and staff. That total would be enough to more than double the compensation for the 1,085,000 Americans who work full-time at the current federal minimum wage of $7.25 an hour.
