California Governor Jerry Brown recently approved a $2 minimum wage increase, set to take full effect by January 2016. This increase will bump California's minimum wage from $8 an hour to $10 an hour. However, forecasts adjusting for inflation predict that by 2016, $10 will be worth $9.36 in 2013 dollars.
