In this bar chart, you can see the differences in tuition for private and public Universities. This chart applies for full-time students (12-18 credits) and those living within the state of NJ. This does not include any other fees. (residential, meal plans, etc.)

Charts like these make you worry for the student loan bubble many say is impending. Previous generations could pay their way through even private universities working jobs over the summer. Unfortunately for people going to private universities in the United States today, not all that many summer jobs pay in the range of $60,000.
