Interracial marriages has more than doubled in since 1980, now nearly 9% of all marriages in the US. The intermarriage rates vary widely for different races and genders. Black-Hispanics and American-Indians are the most likely to intermarry. Asian women marry out of their race twice as often as Asian men do; among blacks, the gender pattern is reversed.
