Over the past few years, the number of content removal requests the government has issued to Google has increased substantially - though not all of the requests are approved. Perhaps the real question here is why has the increase been so dramatic? Are requests simply growing with the amount of internet content, are governments becoming more effective at locating content, or are there more laws and increased censorship that require the removal of more content?

Say no to censorship! America used to be a beacon of light... and we should strive to be so again.
