The most popular type of occupation among employed U.S. veterans in 2012 was professional and related work, with 19.7% of employed veterans working in this occupational area. Management, business, and financial operations occupations were also popular, accounting for 18.1% of employed veterans, but only 15.9% of nonveterans.
