President Obama's vacation/golf statistics have been a frequent target of criticism. Since January 2009, Obama has played 186 rounds to George W. Bush's eight-year total of 24. Bush, however, stopped golfing in 2003 because he felt it inappropriate to be seen golfing while U.S. troops fought overseas. Obama's total vacation days are still far behind his predecessor's, though.
